Musa Visits Pitas

Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Haji Aman made a day working visit to Pitas and Kota Marudu districts where he was briefed by the respective districts’ officers at the Pitas’ district council office today.

Musa was accompanied by State cabinet ministers, State Secretary Tan Sri Sukarti Wakiman, Federal deputy secretary to Sabah, Dr Jamaluddin Mohd. Ali and heads of departments.

Musa also met the family of the nine students who were involved in a fatal accident recently which killed four of them and injured five. Musa handed a donation to their families. State Education director, Datuk Hajah Maimunah Haji Suhaibul was also present.

Musa also handed over financial assistance provided by the Federal government to State rubber tappers and smallholders due to the rainy seasons that affected their incomes.

Federal government provided some RM 27.7 million to the State’s Rubber Industry Board to help smallholders and rubber tappers.

While in Pitas, Musa officiated the new community centre and visited the site for the people housing project (PPR) and later visited the prawn processing factory, a joint venture project by Yayasan Sabah.

Musa presented financial donations to the injured students and family of the deceased.
